Tara Mills, a KD carrier from British Columbia who recently joined the KDA, and her sister Erin Mills, not a KD carrier, set out with a goal of raising $1,000.00 in funds to help find a cure for Kennedy's Disease.. Erin ran a mini-triathlon on August 15th, 2004 in Harrison, Canada on behalf of their two affected uncles and their family that carry the genetic mutation. We are happy to announce that they met their goal!
Erin trained very hard for the event and finished the 400m swim, 20K bike ride and 5K run in just 1 hour and 52 minutes! Tara and Erin also had a hot dog and bake sale to help meet their goal.
The KDA would like to thank Tara and Erin on their fundraising adventures. Go Girl's Go!!
