The mission of the Kennedy's Disease Association is to:
  1. Financially support and promote medical research to find a cure for Kennedy's Disease
  2. Improve awareness of Kennedy's Disease in the medical community
  3. Create a support system for those living with Kennedy's Disease
  4. Increase public awareness about Kennedy's Disease and its effects on families
  5. Share information about Kennedy's Disease for those who seek it.

The KDA is pleased to announce the dates of the 2010 KDA Conference. The dates are as follows;  Nov 10th, 11th & 12th. The location is the Holiday Inn - Bayside, San Diego, California.  Click here to see more information on the conference page.

The MDA  has issued a letter stating that due to the current economy, that as of January 1st 2010 they will be stopping assistance in the purchase of durable medical equipment, also transportation to MDA clinics.  Please click here to read the letter. Living with Kennedy's Disease Blog - Bruce Gaughran has created a blog focused on Kennedy's Disease.  Many posts (some serious and others humorous) are personal experiences, stories and thoughts about living with Kennedy's Disease.  Interspersed throughout the posts are articles on Kennedy's Disease including tips on applying for Social Security-Disability, recent research, profiles of young researchers, exercise programs, tips on using mobility devices, etc.  If you have a chance, take a look and see if anything sparks an interest.  http://kennedysdisease.blogspot.com

The KDA is pleased to announce that 3 Young Investigator awards of $500 each have been given by the Kennedy's Disease Association to Heather Montie, Jill Yersak and Jamie OHansen. These awards are to be applied towards their registrations at the upcoming GRC (Gordon Research Conference) on CAG Triplet Repeat Disorders.

The Kennedy's Disease Association is committed to promoting medical research to find a treatment and possibly a cure for Kennedy's Disease.  Thanks to the generous donations of so many this past year, the KDA’s board of directors has approved the funding of $50,000 in research grants.  Applications were accepted through September of 2007.  The Scientific Review Board with the assistance of other researchers reviewed the proposals and recommended the finalists Click Here to read more about the grants

The KDA has added a 2nd option for making Secure credit card donations to the KDA. "Google Checkout" is a new way for non-profit corporations to accept donations. During year 2008 there is no processing fee for transactions so the KDA gets 100% of all monies donated.
