The Kennedy's Disease Association is pleased to have the support of so many who care deeply about finding a treatment and ultimately a cure for Kennedy's Disease. J. Paul Taylor, M.D. Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania Drosophila melanogaster (fruitfly) model system to investigate the molecular pathogenesis of Spinal
and Bulbar Muscular Atrophy $25,000 Grant awarded November 14, 2003 - Funds made available January 2004 February 2004 - "Initial efforts will be inducing the expression of
polyglutamine-expanded androgen receptor in neural tissues and characterizing the phenotype, extending some previous studies." -- Dr. J.
